Pepparkakor

Ingredients
- ⅔ cup brown or white sugar
- ⅔ cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. cloves
- 2¼ tsp. soda
- ⅔ cup butter
- 1 egg
- 4-5 cups flour
Instructions
- Heat sugar, syrup, and spices to boiling point. Add soda and pour over butter. Stir until butter melts. Add egg and flour and blend. Knead and then chill (at least 2 hours or preferably overnight). Roll out and cut on cookie sheet. Bake in 325⁰ oven for 8-10 minutes.
