Ingredients
  • 2 cups beans, either pintos, pinks, or small reds
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • Onion, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Cumin
  • Oregano
  • Canned tomatoes
Instructions
  1. Soak chili beans.
  2. Cook the beans for 1½ to 2 hours.
  3. Brown hamburger and drain fat.
  4. Add chopped onions, salt pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, oregano and canned tomatoes.
  5. Cook until the beans are done.
  6. Drain the beans, leaving some of the liquid, if desired for flavor.
  7. Mix in meat sauce and simmer to blend flavors.
