Grandma's Cherry Cobbler

  • 2 qts. cherries
  • 1¼ cups sugar
  • 6 Tbsp. minute Tapioca
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Dash salt
  • ¾ cube margarine
  • ½-⅔ cup milk
  1. Mix the sugar and Tapioca, then dump in cherries while you mix the crust.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter and then add milk. It should be sticky, more like bread dough than pie crust. Roll/pat to match pan.
  3. Stir up cherries and tapioca; place in baking dish. Roll crust onto rolling pin and off over baking dish. Cut slits in dough. Sprinkle sugar over top.
  4. Bake at 375⁰ for about 45 minutes. Place a cookie sheet underneath!
