Gingersnaps

Ingredients
- 2¼ cups flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup shortening or cooking oil
- ¼ cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- ½ tsp. cloves
- ¼ cup sugar
Instructions
- Mix half the flour with the brown sugar, shortening, molasses, egg, soda, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. Add the remaining flour. Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 375⁰ for 8-10 minutes.
