Hamburger Buns

Serves: 4 dozen
Ingredients
  • 4 yeast cakes in 4½ cups of warm water.
  • 1 cup dry milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • ½ cup melted shortening
  • 2 well-beaten eggs
  • 10-14 c. flour.
Instructions
  1. Combine yeast cakes and water.
  2. Add dry milk, sugar, salt, shortening, and eggs.
  3. Add Flour.
  4. Don’t get too stiff.
  5. Knead until smooth.
  6. Raise double then shape and place on greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 400⁰ for 12-15 min.
  8. Brush lightly with butter.
Notes
Great to freeze. Can easily be cut in half.
